Corfe Castle

Corfe Castle

"Strange flickering lights" have been reported here, and a headless White Lady reputedly haunts the caste. There have also been reports of the sounds of a crying child. There are recent accounts of a ghostly Roundhead soldier in the shop stockroom and suggestions that the tea-room is haunted.

Worbarrow Bay

In the 17th century a smuggler was trapped here by Revenue Men, and instead of being arrested, he was stoned to death. Since then on nights when the moon is waning, people have reported hearing the sounds of the man's cries as he struggles against both his attackers and the water.
